« Bhanganaya » or "The Liberated Human Being".

 

If the sculpture has enough space behind it, on sunny days it will project a luminous figure that will change its shape with the passing hours and seasons.

The central part of the sculpture, with a proper orientation, can function as the gnomon of a sun-dial, whose shadow shows the hour of the day.

Thus, "Released Human Being" will be an instrument of measurement and a metaphor for what human awareness can be.

The project for this sculpture was realised for the International Sculpture Award "Third Millennium" 2000.
