The Transformative Power of Art and Ideas
Duchamp versus Kandinsky
An Installation with two Fresco Portraits by Fabrizio Ruggiero

Duchamp turned art into a philosophical provocation; Kandinsky transformed it into a spiritual revelation.
Marcel Duchamp dismantled the traditional notion of art as craftsmanship and beauty by introducing the readymade, transforming ordinary objects into conceptual provocations.
Wassily Kandinsky, by contrast, believed art to be a spiritual language, capable of directly addressing the soul through color, form, and inner necessity.
The project Ideas, People, Change was coordinated by Davide Lombardo, NYU Florence.
