Presented at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, The Transformative Power of Art brings together fresco paintings, sculptures and portraits in a unified spatial and symbolic environment.
The project reflects on cultural diversity, human dignity and the possibility of a shared ethical horizon. Through the use of fresco — a medium rooted in permanence and material responsibility — the work reintroduces duration and irreversibility into the contemporary visual field.
Portraiture is approached as effigy rather than representation: the figures do not depict individuals in a mimetic sense, but embody cultural memory and symbolic presence. Installed within an institutional context dedicated to international dialogue, the works establish a space of reflection where image, time and responsibility converge.
The installation unfolds as a field rather than a sequence, inviting the viewer to inhabit the work rather than observe it. In this sense, the project aligns with a broader inquiry into the role of art as a site of awareness and transformation.
